Carmen came on staff in December 2003. Her personal mission statement is "to glean understanding of human and social development for the purpose of creating and implementing effective processes to meet the needs of people spiritually, mentally, intellectually, and physically."

Carmen comes to us, most recently, from The QUEST Learning Center in San Mateo County, where she served as Director. She has also served as Principal (as well as Assistant Principal) of Western Christian Schools in Covina, California, Vice Principal of Counseling at Western Christian Schools in Claremont, California, and Corporate Relocation Specialist with Focus on the Family. She also has experience in private consulting, as well as working with women inmates at the Norco Maximum Security Prison for Women. She holds an MBA from Azusa Pacific University in Organizational Management and Diagnostics, a Bachelor of Science degree from Azusa Pacific University in Behavior Management, and is working toward her PhD in Thanatology from University of Southern California.
